Eva House and Emily House

Where are the services?

Both services are situated in West Croydon, close to transport links and local shops.

Who is it for?

Eva House and Emily House provides supported accommodation to people with entrenched mental health issues between ages 18-65 and the purpose of the services is to work closely with customers towards developing independent living skills. All customers have come from residential care or hospital and recquire support in daily living skills, including, cooking, cleaning and budgeting etc.

How can you get a place there?

All referrals are made via the SNAP team at Croydon Council and all referrals must be linked with the SLaM mental health services.

How long can you stay?

Length of stay is long term, from 2 to 10 years.

What are the facilities?

Eva House provides 13 bed spaces and Emily House provides 9 bed spaces. Both services contain both studio flats and two person sharing flats. Each has a communal lounge, laundry room and garden.

What support do you get?

Eva House provides 24 hour cover with support staff available throughout the day. Customers staying at Eva House have medium to high support needs.

Emily House provides 21 hours of support a week and there is a concierge service that operates during the night. Customers at Emily House have lower mental health needs.

All customers have a designated key worker who has the knowledge and links with appropriate agencies who work with mental health. Key workers give support to customers in the following areas:

  • Daily living skills
  • Engaging with external agencies
  • Managing their own self administering medication
  • Engaging in meaningful day time activities
  • Preventing relapse in mental health
  • Tenancy Sustainment

London Accessible Housing Register

Eva House has been assessed and meets the C Grade (lifetime homes) and F Grade (general needs) criteria on the London Accessible Housing Register.

Emily House has been assessed and meets the F Grade (general needs) criteria on the London Accessible Housing Register.
