Committee Members Wanted!
We are looking for 2 SLYMCA customers to sit on our NEW Services and Performance Sub Committee.
This Committee is made up of SLYMCA Board Members, Directors and Managers who meet to talk about how we can improve the services we deliver to our customers. The group meets 4 times a year and we really want to recruit two customers to join.
This is a NEW Committee and it has been set up to look at how we are performing. The meeting agenda might include looking at the different targets and standards we need to meet, listening to a report from a Director and discussing ways we can improve.
We are looking for customers who -
- Have an understanding of the needs of people who have experienced homelessness.
- Want to make a real commitment to help improve the organisation.
- Have experience attending meetings, House Meetings, Rep Meetings etc.
- Are able to keep information they hear at the meetings confidential.
- Can make a minimum 6 month commitment and attend the next 2 meetings.
What you will be required to do -
- Attend the Committee meetings once every 3 months, between 4pm and 6pm.
- Help the Committee improve the service we deliver to our customers.
- Put forward ideas about what you think would make SLYMCA service better.
- Act in accordance with the Vision, Mission and Values of South London YMCA.
We will provide you with full training and support to become a Committee Member
